A YellowBelly Brewery Wedding // Allan + Carolyn
Confessions of a wedding photographer - I’m desperately behind on blogging. Sin. :(
BUT, the good news I have A LOT of weddings in the queue from 2018 to post and more from 2019! Stay tuned!
ALLAN + CAROLYN
Shot in 2018 at Yellow Belly and the Anglican Cathedral here in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Allan and Carolyn day was a typical overcast, misty early summer day for Newfoundland. Despite the cool temps, their group braved the weather and had a blast. Thanks for having me along to capture your day guys!

About the Bride and Groom
We both currently live in Ontario. Allan is from Ontario and I am from Newfoundland. I met Allan while I was working in South America. We didn’t start dating then but started later in the year. We love food, watching movies, travelling and going out for dinner with friends and family. Allan pushes me out of my comfort zone to try new things which keeps our relationship growing. We recently joined crossfit which is amazing.
Planning the wedding: A year, actually less because I went away to India a couple of months prior to the wedding for 10 weeks.
Newfoundland Wedding Vendor Reviews
The vendors were chosen for a variety of reasons. We wanted a rustic romantic themed wedding. We chose the Anglican Cathedral and Yellowbelly Brewery for their historical character. Being away it was hard to decide on what vendors to use. We relied a lot on social media and word of mouth. We chose the Sound Spa Salon and Flower Studio for their photos on Instagram. The DJ and decorator were recommended through the Yellowbelly Brewery.
Amazing it was a night to remember.
Advice to couples planning their wedding
Try to take a breath, it goes by so fast. Don’t sweat the small stuff it will all work out in the end. The day before I was so particular about the decorations on the church pews. The day of the wedding, I didn’t even notice them.
